Phase I and II - LDRP Conversion: Conversion of existing birthing rooms into fully equipped LDRP suites, including electrical and mechanical system replacements and upgrades, as well as all needed ancillary spaces.   Medical Gas Upgrades: Upgrades to existing facility, including construction of exterior enclosure for new vacuum pumps and modification to existing O2 farm.   Lobby and Business Office: Renovation of lobby and business office, including retrofit of sprinkler systems and complete millwork and finishes renovation.   Phase III - LDRP Conversion: Conversion for birthing rooms into fully equipped LDRP suites.

Occupational Therapy: Renovation of Occupational Therapy and short-term Nursing Care wing.   Alzheimer's Wing: Life Safety review and code required upgrades.  
Employee Lounge/Patio Expansion: Minor expansion of existing area to maintain code compliance.   ER Expansion/Renovation: 3-bed expansion of existing ER space and code upgrade of major systems.   Additional projects in planning stages.

Multiple projects from 1998 to present, including:
Patient Shower/Room Renovation: Remodel and add showers to 120 patient rooms on 2nd through 6th floors, coupled with modernization of HVAC system and expansion of Women's Birthing Center on 5th floor.   Administrative Office Relocation: Creation of new Administrative Offices on ground floor in existing storage area.   Doctor's Lounge Renovation: Expansion and renovation of existing Doctor's Lounge facilities.

Physical Therapy Renovation: Complete renovation of 8,000 sq. ft. off-campus physical therapy center to meet State of Alabama Hospital Licensing Requirements.   Office Space for Dr. Walker: conversion of existing off-site lab into 3,400 sq. ft. physicians office.   Women's Center Addition: 13,000 sq. ft. women's center, including eight LDR's, postpartum, two cesarean section operatories, ancillary spaces, and 3-story connector to existing hospital.  
Emergency Generator Replacement: Upgrade of existing emergency distribution system.   6th and 7th Floor Renovation: Cosmetic and code upgrade to existing patient floors.  
4th and 5th Floor Renovation: Cosmetic and code upgrade to existing patient floors.  

Stringfellow Memorial Hospital

ER/Laboratory Expansion and Renovation: 13,000 sq. ft. expansion and renovation of existing facility, creating completely new 13 treatment bed ER, new laboratory and relocate pharmacy to addition on third floor.

Fishermen's Hospital Structural Rehabilitation: Emergency removal and replacement of failing concrete structure under one wing of occupied hospital.   ER/X-Ray Expansion: 10,000 sq. ft. addition and renovation of existing departments, including Trauma, Obstetrics, CT Scanner, MRI and Nuclear Medical Service additions.   Code Compliance Upgrade: Complete renovation of existing MEP systems to meet outstanding code deficiencies, including new emergency distribution and generation, fire pump system with 54,000 gallon holding tank, and medical gas system upgrades with monitoring.   HVAC/Re-Roof Project: Complete replacement of chilled water system in conjunction with replacement on all roof-top air handling units and entire roof system.   Angiography Suite Renovation: Expansion of Imaging Department to house Phillips Angiography unit.   OR Wing Addition: 11,000 sq. ft. addition to house four new OR Suites, Recovery, and all required ancillary functions.   Lobby Expansion/Renovation: 4,000 sq. ft. addition and renovations of existing lobby, gift shop and admitting/business office areas.  
100% Sprinkler Project: Expansion of existing system to full facility in accordance with AHCA agreement.

Plant Operations Facility: 5,000 sq. ft. 2-story out-building housing plant operations, housekeeping, and laundry functions.   Cafeteria Expansion: Addition of open air screened eating area for staff and patients.   Dr. Ballestas' Office: 4,200 sq. ft. out patient clinic in on-campus medical office building.   Senior Care Center: 8,000 sq. ft. conversion of bank building into geriatric care center with radiology functions.   Promenades Mall Conversion: Conversion of approximately 27,000 sq. ft. of existing retail space into office space and clinics not critical to hospital campus, including;   Able Care Home Health, Day Psychology Center, Office for Dr.'s Oliveria and Arias, Fawcett Rehabilitation Center, Wound Care Center and Dr. Brignoni Women's Center.

Skilled Nursing Unit: 13 bed renovation of existing patient area, including full rehabilitation and physical therapy area.   Medical Records Renovation: Interior remodel and modernization of existing business office area.   Radiology Renovation: Renovation and modernization of existing radiology department, including upgrading multiple pieces of equipment and modernization of balance of department.   Chiller Building: Conventional construction of out-building to house mechanical equipment.

ER Renovation: 5,000 sq. ft. renovation of existing ER, expanding capabilities by one treatment area and modernization of entire department.   Women's Center Addition: 11,000 sq. ft. women's center with six upscale LDRP's, Postpartum, C-Section Operatory Suite and full nursery.   OR Suite 1 Expansion: Expansion of existing OR to create fully equipped orthopedic operatory.   100% Sprinkler Project: Completion of fire sprinkler system in accordance with interim agreement with AHCA.   Cath Lab Addition: 2,200 sq. ft. enclosure of interior court yard, creating full scale Cardiac Catherization Suite with minor renovation to surrounding areas.

Out Building: Housing Central Supply/Receiving, Laundry, Purchasing and Facility Engineering departments.   Lobby Renovation and MEP Upgrades.   Critical Care Recovery: Renovation of existing non-critical area for eight bed CCR to service open heart program.   Cath Lab Addition: 2,400 sq. ft. expansion to house second fully invasive cath lab suite and six bed Holding/Recovery area.   Fire Alarm Upgrade: Installation of new main intelligent system for gradual conversion of entire facility.   100% Sprinkler Project: Completion of fire sprinkler system in accordance with interim fully sprinkler agreement with AHCA.   North Wing Renovation: Cosmetic and code upgrade to 33 bed wing housing ICU, IMC, PACU, and Out-Patient Surgery Recovery functions.   Generator Replacement: Second floor addition to house new 1,250KW emergency power generator and all new emergency power distribution equipment above FEMA flood plain.   Electrical Upgrades OR's 1, 2, and 3: Electrical code and modernization upgrades to three general surgery suites.   Recovery Expansion: Six bed expansion of existing general surgery recovery area.   Main Service Repair: Emergency replacement of entire normal power distribution due to catastrophic failure.   Mechanical Building Roof-Over Project: Enclosure of 8,000 sq.ft of existing mechanical and electrical space under new structure due to failure of existing structure. Also including coordination of major equipment replacement during construction.   Cath Lab Holding: New six bed holding and recovery area to make way for facilities third Cardiac Catherization Suite.   MRI Suite Renovation: Alteration of existing area to house Siemens's 1.5 Tesla MRI equipment.   OR Renovation: Complete upgrade of existing 12,000 sq. ft. surgery suite, including creation of 3rd open heart operatory and new orthopedic operatory.   Cafeteria Renovation: Renovation of existing space incorporating new serving lines and finishes update.   IV Holding Area: 1,000 sq. ft. renovation/addition to patient care area including med gas and life safety upgrades.   Cardiac Rehab: 2,500 sq. ft. interior renovation for outpatient rehab treatment and office space.
